8 Months! (32 weeks)

Well it only took a week before Baby K dropped again- I feel I have grown a lot in 2 wks! I have been feeling great and am now just getting ready for the big move. Just 2 more weeks! We are very excited- yet very sad to leave friends and family. =( Things are working out very well- we got the house that we wanted and sold ours as well. We are very thankful that the movers will pack our stuff and unpack it. =)
Baby K is doing great. S/he is still active as ever and kicking me high in the ribs and all the way on my right side. I didn't know the legs could stretch that far on my side! I'm constantly rubbing my right side to relax it from kicking so hard. I'm sure its getting pretty cramped in there so I'd be stretching too! Baby is gaining about half a pound a week now of fat. Dr. said that I'm measuring right on my due date and that things look perfect. (baby should be about 4 lbs by now) I found a Dr. in PA and start my appointments the week after we get out there. By that time I will be having appointments once a week. I am sad to leave my Dr. now but the PA seems very nice and I know that I like the hospital that they are associated with. I'm getting very excited as we get closer to meeting Baby K- but I'm getting a little nervous about the whole birth thing. You start to think, "this thing has to come out of me!" I'm feeling more and more ready each week though. I think the more uncomfortable I get the more I want it out! I am still enjoying being pregnant though and love to share it with Kev and my friends and family. Baby K loves to move for everyone and give them a good kick every once in a while. I like that s/he is more active during the day so that I can share the movements with people.
I will post again soon- next pics will probably be after the move when I'm closer to 9mths! 8 more weeks till we meet Baby K!!! <3

30 wks!

I can't believe I only have 10 more weeks! It's going to go so fast! If you compare pics you can see that Baby K has decided to move more into my rib area. I don't have to run to the restroom so much anymore- but now I get kicked in the ribs a lot! Baby is head down (head on the left side of pelvis) and feet are in my right ribs. The bottom is always pressing into my belly button area so its fun to watch my belly take on different shapes throughout the day. Baby K is very active- s/he likes to move all day. When I wear tighter shirts you can see my whole belly moving around and I often wonder if people are looking at me since it's so obvious. =)
Well it is now official- on April 16th we are leaving for the big move to PA. We had a offer on our house today so we will see if that goes through. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
I am feeling much better this week and am ready to take on a full work week next week again. Thanks for all the get well wishes (phone calls, flowers, visits and cards!) It is greatly appreciated!
I registered us for a birthing class in PA the week after we move there. It will be good to learn a few things about the labor process etc and hopefully we can meet some couples since we will be new to the area. It's only 2 days long which is good- and I know Kev is really excited about it. =) Our neighbor told him just to have a beer ready for him when he got home. The things that guys have to go through during pregnancy- such a sad story. =)
Wish me luck that I remain healthy the rest of this pregnancy!

7 1/2 months

Well I guess they aren't kidding when they say that pregnancy lowers your immune system! This last month and my health have been a struggle. We went to PA this last week to search for a house and by the second day I was there I had to go the ER. With a bunch of tests they determined I had severe pneumonia and needed to be hospitalized right away. Needless to say they kept me in labor and delivery for 4 long days. (only a quarter of my lungs were working and I was pretty bad) I got discharged yesterday and we drove right home to MI since they said I couldn't fly for a while. I am still not well- but much better then early in the week. So I will keep taking my antibiotics and hopefully be well soon. I guess I have been fighting it for a few weeks but the Dr. here thought I had bronchitis. The good thing is that I loved the hospital and nurses that I was at. My main concern about moving was finding a hospital and dr for the baby but now I know where I would like to deliver. Also- that one day that I was able to house hunt with Kev we found the one that we fell in love with. So we are trying to work something out with the realtor right now. So hopefully all goes well with that.
They baby is doing well. The nurses took good care of me and I was in the labor and delivery unit so they knew what they were doing. They made sure I didn't go into preterm labor and they gave me 2 ultrasounds to check the baby. Baby K weighed in at 2 lbs 6 ounces which was right on target for my due date. It hasn't stopped moving since and the nurses commented on what an active baby I have- so we may have our hands full. =) While I laid in my hospital bed I got to listen to women being wheeled down the hallway screaming while in labor. Talk about giving me anxiety to have a baby! It sounded like a torture chamber out there!
I just wanted to say thanks to Kev for all your support this week. I know it put a dent in the week- but I appreciate your hospital visits and support. Hopefully this is the last illness we have to deal with this pregnancy cuz I know it's getting frustrating! But the good thing is the baby is still healthy and that's all I can ask for. I will post new pics soon- as soon as I get well. I will prob post my new ones in a week since I will be 30weeks then!
As always- thanks for checking in- and please pray that the remainder of this pregnancy remain healthy! I don't know how much more I can take!

Baby Shower! 7mths

We had our shower at the end of Feb. and it was a great success! Thank you SO much to everyone who made the trip and those who couldn't make the trip but were thinking of us. Baby K sure did get spoiled! We are very blessed to have such great friends and family. Also- thanks to the "grandmas" for working hard and putting everything together. It was a busy- but great day!
Baby K has been very active! I have been playing music through headphones on my belly at night-time so that we can wind down and it has been a great success. It makes the baby move a lot while it's playing but as soon as I turn it off it calms down and stays calm for the remainder of the night. Then it's ready to play again all day!
People are having a great time watching and feeling the baby move. =) I like letting people experience feeling it move- especially when they have never seen anything like it. It's pretty fascinating! My sis loves to put her hands on my belly and talk up close to it and Baby K goes crazy! It seems to like the attention. =)
The baby should be almost 3lbs now. It is fully formed- it's now spending the remaining time getting "fat." To know that it can be born and survive now is somewhat of a relief- even though we don't want it to happen! It can hear everything and I was told by a Dr. that it can even smell what I smell!
I see that our votes are even now! It's a split decision! I'm still thinking boy though! But we will see!
As always- thanks for checking in! I will update with new belly pics very soon! We are traveling to Philly area this next week to find a house etc- so wish us luck! =)
