7 Months- So close to crawling!
7 Months- Playing with Jello for a sensory activity!

6.5 Months- Great Great Grandma!

6.5 Months- Kayden gets Christened!

6.5 Months

6 Months- Christmas Card pics!

6 Months- Santa Baby!

Kayden has changed so much in just the last month...from starting to roll over to now being mobile. He rolls and scoots everywhere and is now on his hands and knees starting these last few days. Any day now he will be crawling! We can 't believe he is 7mths already! Where does time go?! His personality is just amazing- I don't think I've ever seen a baby so happy!
We went back to Michigan for Thanksgiving break and it was great to see that he didn't have "stranger anxiety" with anyone...not even Santa! During our visit we got him Christened, had our 1st Thanksgiving dinner with him and got 5th generation pictures with his Great Great Grandma who is 95 years old! He also brought back his 1st cold which developed into croup this last wkd- as scary as it was he has been handling it very well. Him and I are still both sick- so we are praying that we will be healthy for our drive back to MI this coming wkd. We are not looking forward to another long drive that's for sure...but he did great there and back. We wake up and drive all night or drive early evening until early morning and he does best since he can sleep for most of it.
K is about 20lbs now and us just solid! He will get more shots this week and then will be done for a while...or so they say! Just when you feel like they are never going to end!
He has been sleeping great all night ever since he has been able to roll over. He is so much more comfortable on his belly but we didnt want him sleeping on it until he could roll over- so he is happy now and letting us get more sleep. =) He has been teething it seems like forever now...but still no teeth- so now we just wait.
He has been doing great with his food. I'm still having fun making his baby food and he seems to like it all...except peas..we are working on that one! We have tried bananas about 3times now and he doesnt hate them- he's just not so sure about them. I was surprised....I thought he would love them! But we will keep trying along with the peas! He has tried carrots, avacodo, green bean, sweet potato, squash, peas, apples, and bananas. He's definitely a good eater!
We are excited for his 1st Christmas....even if he's most interested in the wrapping paper. But we are excited to share it with him as a family. Its amazing how much more fun things can be when a child is involved.
Happy Holidays to everyone!! Thanks for sharing this special year with us! We look forward to sharing 2009 with you as well!!
God Bless

It's been a long time!

5 Months
5.5 Months

NYC- 11/08

1st Train Ride! Going to NYC!

5 Months

1st Halloween!!

4.5 Months

I apologize for being awful and not updating! For some reason it wouldn't let me download pics a couple times so I took a longer break then expected! But I promise to be better and update at least once a month from now on! Thanks for being patient! =)

As you can see- K has "chunked" up a little bit! He got his 6mth shots this week and we were laughing because of his weight jump. He weighs 19lbs 3 oz and is 27inches. That puts him in the 90%for weight and 75%for height. We were laughing because he went from the 10% for weight to the 90th. =) We are just in love with our squishy guy! His personality is really something. The Dr. described him as having great social skills and being very confident. She was quite impressed with how happy he was/is so that made me feel good. It sure does make life easier having a good baby. =) He loves everybody and doesnt have stranger anxiety- so thats a plus. He is always laughing at something or smiling. He even is known to laugh in his sleep! He wants EVERYTHING! He wants to grab it and try to put it in his mouth. We know that he is going to be into anything and everything- so we are definitely going to have our hands full soon!
He started rolling over at the beginning of this month- so now he is rolling around everywhere and scooting backwards- so crawling is soon to come! We will be needing babygates in no time. Its amazing how they can go from doing nothing to being so mobile over a wkd! I got lucky and heard him chatting at 5am one morning- so I went in to peek on him. Im glad I did because I caught him rolling over for the 1st time at that moment. And since then it hasn't stopped. =)
He does not have any teeth yet- but he has been teething for quite some time now. I would guess that within the next 2 wks he will have something coming through. Hes been waking up a few times at night and falling back asleep- so I am figuring his teeth are bothering him. Sometimes if he is having a rough time I put orajel on him and he goes right back down by himself. He has become such a better sleeper now that he can sleep on his belly. What an amazing difference! He will sleep a good 11hr night on average now- thank god! Chunk thought he had to eat at night still until just before 6mths. Dr said if he was still waking up after 6mths then it was behavioral- so I was getting a little worried. But it was literally like a light switch. A few days before he turned 6mths he was sleeping all night. Finally!!! He is now eating cereal as well baby food. I have been making his own food and I love it! So far we have done squash and avacado. He liked them both but avacodo is a HUGE hit with him. Im surprised he likes it so much. Although I cant see him turning many things down. =)
As you can tell from the pics we have been busy with a few things. K had his 1st Halloween and that was fun. We thought he made a cute Tootie Roll. =) We went Trick or Treating with our neighbors/friends. K did a good job at getting a bag of candy. =) We were very proud of him!
He was also lucky enough to visit NYC in early November. We got very lucky that it was in the 70s that day so it was the perfect day to explore the city. He LOVED it! He doesnt sleep well or not at all in new atmospheres- especially when there is a lot going on- so he had a long day- but couldnt have been happier on no sleep. He didnt want to miss anything! He had a great time at the Wax museum and thought Tina Turner was pretty funny. =) What a fun day. Its so nice to be so close to the city.
Well- we leave in the middle of the night tomorrow night to drive to MI for the holiday. We are excited for another busy week of trying to see everybody. I really wish there was 2 of him when we went home. It would be so much easier! But luckily everyone is understanding that they need to split up there time with him- he tries to make everyone happy. =)
Wish us luck for our drive home. We are praying for a safe trip. Thanks for checking in and being patient with me. Have a great Thanksgiving!

3.5 Months

We are having way too much fun with our little man! He is such a good baby! He is always smiling and giggling- we just can't get enough of him. A couple weeks ago Kayden learned how to grab things- and now he is figuring out how to bring them to his mouth to chew on them! He is so cute to watch because he concentrates so hard as he tries to grab something etc. His favorite thing to do right now is jump in his jumparoo/exersaucer. He really goes crazy in it and thinks it's so funny. =) We will just sit there and watch him and laugh- there's definitely not a dull moment in this house! He's been getting a lot of social interaction with others- the day care at the gym and he will be starting an all day daycare this week. He seems to love everybody and has a great time where ever he is. It makes me feel better about leaving him as hard as it is. It will be hard when he gets seperation anxiety but for now when I leave him as he's happy it seems to make it a little easier. We can't believe he is almost 4mths old! We continue to enjoy every second with him and try not to take advantage of the time we have together. I continue to take a lot of pics- as you can tell from the most recent ones he has gained a little weight! Our little peanut sure is chunking up! =) He will go back to the Drs in a couple weeks to get more shots so I will be anxious to see how much he weighs and what percentile he's in! Thanks for checking in!

A few more 3 month pics

Here are a couple more 3 month pics. I forgot to mention in the photos below- Kayden got to meet Todd Herremans from the Philadelphia Eagles and go out to lunch with him after training camp. It was a fun day! =)

3mths!

Todd Herremans- Phil. Eagles

2.5 months

Lil man is getting so big! The other day he weighed in at 12lbs 10oz! Its still small for a 3 month old but he is definitely chunking up! He is SO much fun! He loves to smile, giggle, and talk. He loves new places and new people. He always wants to see what is going on so when we go somewhere for a whole day- like a family function he does not want to sleep because he's scared that he will miss something. When we are home he is a catnapper- sleeping 20 minute naps! He wakes up happy so I guess it works. Hopefully he will take 1 or 2 long naps and a couple short ones in the near future! He does well at night- on a normal night he will get up once- sometimes twice. He slept through the whole night a couple nights ago- from 9-6 - but it only happened once, so maybe we are getting close! He loves all of his toys and we just recently broke out the exersaucer. Hes still not a fan of tummy time though! We are enjoying every second of being parents and couldnt be happier. Kayden is such a blessing. I still stare at him when he sleeps because I can't believe he is mine (ours!). We still cant figure out who he looks like more- our families are bias (lol) mine say he favors me a lot - or both of us and Kevs family says hes all Kev. A lot of our friends say he is me in the eye area and the rest Kev. So who knows! I think he looked a lot more like Kev when he was born. Its so hard to tell- alls I know is that he is gorgeous and couldnt be more perfect! Thanks for checking in- sorry it took so long to update- this website wouldnt let me upload pics for a while! I will keep in touch!

Getting Big!

Kayden 6.5wks Lexi 1wk

PaPa Beehr
Auntie Nickie
Big Boy! 9wks

Kayden is getting bigger each day. We went and got shots 2 days ago and he weighed 9lbs 10oz and was 21.5inches. He did great with his shots- I decided to split them up because it's better for him- so he got 2 that and and will get 2 more in a couple weeks.
We went back to Michigan this last week. It was a great visit- but due to visiting so many people- we had to keep our visits short in order to see everyone. It was very hard! Kayden adjusted well. He did great on the airplane both ways. The 1st few days back were rough since he was used to being held all day- but by the 3rd day we were back on track and used to playing with our toys again.
He makes us laugh more and more each day. His personality is coming out little by little and we are enjoying him as he smiles and talks to us. It's the best feeling in the world. =)
I posted pics of Kayden and Lexi- Lexi is Terris baby (the neighbor who took me to the hospital) Lexi was born by c-section on June 18th and was 8lbs 3oz. We had to torture them and get some cute shots together- especially in some Jordan gear- by Kev's request. =) We are excited for them to grow up and play together for these next few years!
We were happy to be able to see so many friends and family and our still open for visitors here! Let us know! =)

5 weeks!!

Kayden is growing so fast! At 4.5 weeks he weighed in at 8lbs- he gained over a pound in 2wks! His personality is showing more and more each day- he is always making us laugh with his funny faces. =) He loves to be outside more then anything and is definitely a cuddle bug. His favorite position is laying on our chests. He loves his bouncy chair and baby gym- but he doesnt like to be in his swing for long- even sleeping. I find this funny since this is usually one of the most calming places for a baby. His eyes are still very blue- I say they wont change and Kev thinks they will- so we will see! He LOVES his baths- we usually do one every other night- or sometime more- just to get a bedtime routine. It really relaxes him. =) He still sleeps great at night. We usually to to bed between 11 and 12 and then he wakes between 3 and 4 to eat and will sleep till around 7. He eats again and then will fall back asleep till 9 or 10! He still sleeps in his crib - listening to the CD that he listened to while in the womb. We fall in love more and more each day with him!
I posted a picture above of Terri- our neighbor who took me to the hospital. She is due to have a girl Lexi on 6/24 but they are estimating her baby to be at 9 lbs already so they are going to take her for a c-section this wed. We laugh because her baby has always measured bigger then Kayden being born already! We are good friends with her and her husband Jon. We have also grown close to 3 others sets of neighbors as well. This last wkd we had a BBQ at one of thier houses- so its nice to have friends to hang out with. They are all just starting their families too so we have something to relate to. =)
Its getting closer to our visit to Midland....and we are so excited!! I never thought I'd be excited to go back to Midland! It will be a very busy week and we hope to see as many people as possible!

5/25/08

Kayden is now 16 days old! He is such a good baby! We have been so blessed! He is not fussy at all and when he does get sad he is good at calming himself down. The only time he really cries is when we change his diaper or at bath time. He sleeps in his crib really well and wakes every 2-3hrs to eat and then goes back to sleep. He is becoming much more alert with what is around him- constantly scanning the room when awake to see what is around him- focusing on lights and people voices. He is funny to watch because he acts the same way he did while in the womb- his hands always have to be up to his face and he really enjoys sucking on his fingers. He also likes to place with his tongue and stick it out etc. In my previous posts I always mentioned that in my ultrasounds he had his hands up to his face and in one of them he stuck his tongue out at us. Its cute to watch. =)
This last week my mom was out here and was a great help with things- helping with the house and making it more "home like" and cooking us great meals. We were very greatful to have her visit and sad when she left. My sister- Angie made it out here as well with her friend and my nephew Ashton. We had a great time visiting with them as well. This week Kevs parents are coming and we excited for more company! We love having people out here and Kayden loves the company!
Thank you to everybody who has been sending gifts and cards- its greatly appreciated!!!! Kayden is so excited to get boy clothes rather then just green and yellow stuff! =) (Kev is pretty excited too) Thank you SO much for thinking of us! It means a lot!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!

Kayden Anthony came into the world at 6:26 pm on May 9th, 2008- 3 weeks early!! He was 6lbs 1oz and 20.5inches long. First off let me say- what an amazing experience!
Kev was out of town for the week (go figure) and Wednesday I had braxton hicks all day- but they seemed to chill out after a while. Thursday I had a couple but still worked out and went home. Not long after I got home that night is when things started. I started the contractions again but just wasnt sure if they would last since the ones the night before went away. But lets just say by 4am they were 5minutes apart and I was home alone- not able to get a hold of Kevin! Luckily- a few nights earlier I went on a walk and met the neighbors. (she happens to be 8mths preg) They made me take their number when I told them Kev was out of town but I never thought I would have to call them! I gave in and called her (Terri) at 5am when I couldnt handle it anymore. Thank god she was able to take me to the hospital! In the meantime- Kevs mom and dad and my mom were trying to track him down - which they did around 6am. He had a 3hour drive but he made it. Terri ended up staying with us the whole time (we love her for that...and it was her bday!) I progressed very quicky and by 6:26 pm- and less then an hour of pushing- Kayden was here!!!! We laugh at how much he resembles his daddy! He us just perfect and at this time still adjusting to life outside the womb. =) We feel so blessed and are absolutely in love. Kev is doing great with him and couldnt be a better daddy- everything is coming natural for him. Let's just say this was the best mothers day ever! Ill keep you updated with pics and notes on this blog about Kayden. As for now- we are off to our 1st pediatrician appt!
